HOPE CRAFTERS

Hope Crafters meet each week to work on sewing projects to benefit our community.   At present they create Sojourn Bears and Muumuus.   The Sojourn bears are soft stuffed bears that are given to cancer patients.   They also make small cloth bears for children in emergency rooms.

The Muumuus and simple shifts are completed and delivered to the Haven of Lake & Sumter Counties shelter where they are given to women victims of domestic and sexual violence who come in with only the clothes on their back.

Muumuus are made for the Haven’s abused women’s shelter by the women of Hope. Donations of colorful cotton blend fabrics in 2 ¼ yard lengths are needed to supply monthly needs.

The group meets each Tuesday at 9:00 AM in the Fellowship Hall.  LaVera Wiberg and Joi Lauterborn are presently leading the group. If you would like to help out, come to the church on Tuesday and talk to LaVera or Joi.   They will always welcome your help.
